Rental Class

Required

Thank you for renting with Boats and Fun. We are super excited to see you soon.  

To prepare for your rental day and get you out on the water efficiently we have a few things to do:
- Watch the Videos 
- Review Basic Rules
- Take and Pass Final Test
Video 1

This first video goes over the basics that you must know for your rental, no the location you are renting from. This 20 minute video will teach you everything you need to be ready for the final test.

Video 2

This video is required for all rentals from North Captiva Island.  The harbor entrance to the island is a bit tricky, on this video you will see exactly what it looks like.

Video 3

Here you can see the basics of how to dock like a professional!

Important Rental Rules
  • Boats are not allowed on the gulf side of the barrier islands, you must keep the boat on the bay side.

  • Boats must be docked every night before 5PM, this includes multi day rentals. Even if you are keeping the boat at your own house. 

​

  • Rental boats are not allowed to tow anything behind them. (no pulling tubes, water skis or other boats)

Boater's License Requirements Florida:

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 who operates a vessel powered by 10 horsepower or more must pass an approved boater safety course and have in his/her possession photographic identification and a boating safety education identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or A non-resident must have in his or her possession proof that he or she has completed a NASBLA-approved boater safety course or equivalency examination from another state.

Required Final Test
